Here are a few places I’d recommend if you are ever visiting Portland:

The Freakybuttrue Peculiarium: If you like to look at weird stuff, this is a fun place to check out.  Snap a picture with bigfoot for your next profile picture!

Marukin Ramen:  This is the closest I’ve come to getting ramen in the U.S. that tastes like I’m eating ramen in Japan.  I’d fly back to Portland just to eat this ramen!  Order either the Tonkatsu Shoyu or Tonkatsu Red.

McMenamin’s Edgefield:  Check out this brewery with an impressive beautiful garden setting. I had a delicious wild boar dinner at the restaurant and would love to stay at the hotel here next time.

Pine State Biscuits:  Breakfast is served southern style.  First time I’ve tried fried grits and I liked it!  Had fried chicken and fried okra here as well.

Voodoo Doughnut:  This is where I had my first maple bacon doughnut which everyone should try at least once if you love bacon like me!  Dirt (Oreo Cookie topping) was my favorite but they’ve got lots of uniquely topped doughnuts for you to indulge in.

Widmer Brothers Tap Room:  Take a tour of this Oregon craft brewery and have a flight at the bar.
