CES 2019: Wireless Curling Iron

I used to own a wireless curling iron, probably a decade or more ago, but that unit required a gas butane cartridge to power it, which are obviously flammable/explosive so not travel friendly whatsoever. I don’t even remember when I donated it, but it was a long time ago because it was not practical and didn’t really heat up enough to curl my already stubborn hair very well at all.

Lunata Hair is now crowd-funding a convertible curling iron available on Indiegogo that is wireless when powered by a removable battery or wired for maximum heat.  It is considered convertible since the clip is removable and subsequently may be used as a wand.  The max heat cordless is 400°F and 450°F when used with the cord.  This also comes with a silicone cover that may used for travel without worrying about the heat.  The 32mm barrel creates beach wave curls rather than tighter curls smaller barrels would make.  Lunata is charged by USB-C, takes 120 minutes to charge fully and will last 45 minutes on a full charge.

The retail price is showing to be $250 but if you back it on Indiegogo before the campaign ends in less than 2 weeks from this blog post, you obviously can get it cheaper.  And if you are looking for a flat iron, they have an option for a duo perk as well!  I personally rarely travel with a curling iron, but do have a mini flat iron that I occasionally travel with.  If you are someone who has to travel with hair styling tools, you may want to consider this!
