I’m restricting my review of Tropical Astrology to the basic planets plus Rising or Ascendant, Black Moon Lilith, Chiron and North and South Nodes along with the Houses which I will go over in the next post. I’m focusing on these since they are what usually appear in a standard natal chart. There is so much more to Astrology, but I don’t have plans to review any other aspects because the rest of it is way over my head.
The brief descriptions below are based on books I’ve read (Use Your Planets Wisely by Jennifer Freed and You Are More Than Just Your Sun Sign by Joan Zodianz) and various online sources including YouTubers Astro Finesse and Marisa LaBlue. As I mentioned in the last post titled, What’s Your Sign, there are different branches and they can vary greatly, so there is a chance what I list below may not match what other sources may say, especially if based on a different school using another house system. It also will not be comprehensive and may leave out some characteristics since I am including only what I am aware of with my limited knowledge, while trying to keep it brief.
In future posts, I will further detail each listed below using myself as a real life example and commenting whether what astrology indicates I am predisposed to seems to ring true to me personally or not. I also plan to provide another chart for another female who is born on the same month and day as I am, but a different year and location. I will refer to her as Kali who is the Goddess of Death And Sexuality in Hindu religion, making her the epitome of all things Scorpios. While we both are considered Scorpios, I’m looking forward to identifying the similarities and stark differences between the both of us.
