Why Bother With Feng Shui?

Feng Shui is not a cure-all by any means. As I’ve mentioned in my other posts, Feng Shui is only one piece of the pie called Earth Luck. The other two pieces are 1) Heaven Luck, which is related to fate, destiny, past lives and karma, and 2) Mankind Luck, what a person does and takes action on to affect the things they do have control over. Feng Shui may only set the groundwork and it is up to the person to execute on their Mankind Luck to increase the likelihood of seeing positive results. This is the reason I decided to implement Feng Shui, so that I could align with the energies in my home in the most auspicious way to support me in my life and with certain areas of focus or goals knowing that it is my actions that will need to take me the rest of the way. I figured that I need all the luck I can get because things have felt like a bit of struggle and I would like for things to flow with more ease! Of the three, Earth Luck is the easiest to manipulate and implement. Mankind Luck is the most powerful of the three to effect changes. The best approach is to address two-thirds of the pie if you want to shift Luck in your favor and generate big changes so that is why in my blog you see me focusing on these two areas with Feng Shui for Earth Luck and Spirituality plus my day-to-day actions for Mankind Luck.

I’d like to try to explain this concept of the Heaven, Earth and Mankind Luck using an easy to understand example, let’s say there are a few different viruses in a room, think of those viruses as the equivalent to different types of bad Feng Shui energy. Now imagine there are several people in the room inhaling the different viruses. Everyone will not be affected by all the different viruses in the same manner for various different reasons.

There could be one person in the room who is genetically strong. When relating this example to the metaphysical concepts of Heaven/Earth/Mankind Luck, this would be like a person who has good Heaven Luck, where they were born destined to have a generally healthy body. Despite the viruses in the room, their body can fight off most of the viruses without issue and that person could end up only having to deal with minor symptoms.

A second person in the room may not have as good genetics as the previous example, but they do all that they can to remain healthy by ensuring they eat nutritious meals, exercise often, get plenty of sleep, get physical check-ups regularly and take their vitamins. As a result of their daily behavior, they strengthened their immune system even though they are not as genetically strong as the previous person. With their consistent daily actions, their body is able to fight off viruses without issue and may only have minimal symptoms. This is an example of a person exerting their Mankind Luck, by taking all the actions they are able, in order to affect how they react to any threats to their health.

A third person in the room is the opposite of the first person and is immunocompromised by a disease they inherited genetically that has plagued their family line for generations. Their genetic predisposition can be related metaphysically to a person with karmic debts from past lives who was born with this issue in the current life. Once again this eludes to Heaven Luck, but one of a negative nature. It is possible they can improve their risk of being affected by the viruses through Mankind Luck.

If a fourth person has average genetics and is not diligent about living a healthy lifestyle, but they decide to put an air purifier in the room to clean the air. This would be similar to using Feng Shui remedies. The key is quality and effectiveness of the specific air purifier. For example, if an air purifier is put in that does not have the UV light to kill viruses, then the purifier put in place would essentially be useless. This would not be unlike someone who puts up a random windchime in a specific location because they hear it will weaken the bad Feng Shui energy, but does not realize the windchime needs to have very specific features. The placement of the air purifier is the equivalent of Earth Luck by manipulating the characteristics of the room, which is similar to the implementation of a Feng Shui remedy. Keep in mind, this fourth person exerted their Mankind Luck as well in this scenario, by doing the research to determine the appropriate type, earning enough money to buy the air purifier and carrying out the action of physically putting the air purifier in that specific room.

The ideal person to walk out of that room full of viruses unaffected, based on the things that are within their control to effect change, is the one who who uses their Mankind Luck by living as healthy as possible to strengthen their immune system. Then also doing an equivalent of a Feng Shui remedy or cure by doing research to know precisely which air purifier to install. They would have to ensure the air purifier is effective by confirming it has the UV light to kill viruses, is of the right size to filter the air according to the room dimensions and ideally, putting in the room and letting it run for however long it would need to filter all the air in the room before they even entered the room. With those two approaches alone, it is highly likely that whether they have good genetics for a strong healthy body, which would be like Heaven Luck, is not a crucial determining factor if they will get sick because by doing both Earth and Mankind Luck, they have tipped the scales in their favor to avoid the virus.

This is why I have been focusing both on Feng Shui for Earth Luck and my Spiritual Journey and daily actions for my Mankind Luck. Feng Shui helps me align with the energies in my home, to support relationships with others, for better health and more financial stability. By focusing on specific goals in my personal life, I am using both Feng Shui and my own actions to move myself and my life towards achieving them in some of these areas.

Here are some questions to ponder if you are already taking actions on things you can control and are considering Feng Shui as an additional approach:

  1. What is working vs. not working in your life?
  2. What are you top 3 challenges?
  3. What is currently your most urgent struggle?
    • If you answer generically such as finances, that you don’t have enough money, please dig deeper and come to a more specific answer. For example are you not accepting additional shifts that are offered because you hate your job. In this case, your job rather than money is the real issue.
  4. How is that specific struggle affecting your life?
  5. What things have you already done to try to overcome or fix this problem?
  6. How long has this been an issue?
  7. What professional help have you sought out, if any? Did it help?
  8. How do you foresee your life if this issue continues in the same manner?
    • In 6 months, 1 year or 5 years from now?
  9. How do you imagine yourself feeling in those timeframes?

It is impossible to say with certainty that specific issues may be impacted by or a result of bad Feng Shui energies in your home, but I personally believe that there are certain scenarios that can be affected by Feng Shui to help shift aspects in your life such as with health, wealth and relationships because I believe the energies exist and can be balanced using this metaphysical practice. Can Feng Shui help you lose weight? No, that’s genetics and the actions you take yourself with eating, exercise and even sleep habits. Can Feng Shui help you manage your time more efficiently? Once again no, you need to learn time saving techniques and apply them in your daily habits.

So where can Feng Shui help? Through a consultation, Feng Shui remedies and activations may be put in place to support growth and success financially where a current job does not pay enough. Keep in mind if a person does not take efforts from a Mankind Luck perspective to look for other job opportunities, apply for other jobs, or even if they stop bothering to show up to work and stay home and watch tv all day, the chances of anything happening is very low. There needs to be effort on the two different Luck levels.

Some may be asking, but why would I bother with Feng Shui if I can put all my effort in Mankind Luck?

I’ll answer with using the low paying job scenario again. Let’s say the person is doing all they can, applying to many job postings every day for months, without success, but what they don’t realize is that the bedroom they are sleeping in has an energy of money loss. By doing a consultation, understanding the energies at play and applying Feng Shui remedies and activations, one can shift that energy so that all their actions and efforts have better chances of getting scheduled for interviews and finding a job, likely sooner than if they didn’t manipulate their Earth Luck.

Since I am very new to Feng Shui, I am beginning to implement remedies and activations in my own home. Couple that with all the work I’m putting in on the Mankind side with my spiritual work and taking physical actions, such as focusing my energy writing in my blog and other passions, I know it is only a matter of time before my life starts to have the major shifts that I’m looking for!
