Per my What Does Mars Really Have to do with Men? blog post, Neptune has to do with anything and everything related to our subconscious mind such as dreams, psychic abilities, and inspirations and how we may see ourselves as victims. Per Cafe Astrology, where you can go to get your own birth chart, it says Neptune represents transcendental liberty, non-egoistic liberty.
My Neptune is in Sagittarius and the way I’d generically describe my subconscious mind is that I have had a psychic ability for as long as I can remember in the form of dreams. Basically the dreams I would have at night while sleeping would be an insight into my future because some of them would eventually come true. This was the case if the dream felt random and I could not really make sense of what was going on because it was either a very short snippet of a moment, or involved people and places I was unfamiliar with. Even on some rare occasions, I would awaken from the dream and think to myself, that the dream didn’t make sense, but I know it will whenever it eventually happens later in my life. I will say that my dreams have never been regarding big huge moments, but rather more mundane everyday moments, such as having a conversation with someone about a relatively unimportant topic or going to run an errand at a store looking for something particular. When the dream actually becomes reality, I will be hit with a sense of deja vu and know what is going to happen in the next few seconds. Such as if I am having a conversation and ask the other person a question, as I’m in the middle of asking the question I realize I know exactly what they are going to answer and can see how the conversation plays out because I recall the dream in that moment. The frequency of this ability was much more often when I was younger and would disappear for long periods of time. In 2021, I can barely recall having any dreams at all because I was not sleeping enough to even get into deep sleep. Within the past year, I have been sleeping more and increasing my dreams as well as getting back in tune with my psychic abilities through it, which I do attribute to my shadow and spiritual work.
According to my natal/birth chart from Café Astrology this is the description the report provides:
May especially enjoy long voyages, things foreign, being close to water. Altruistic, broad spiritual vision, humane, spiritual.
When I was doing a lot of travelling in the past, I didn’t mind long trips and would be gone 2-4 weeks at a time away from home. I also coped fairly well with long travel times such as plane rides and often took cross-country flights of 6 hours. I loved international travel as well and appreciated the different cultures, landscapes, food and items I came across. Beach vacations are actually my favorite type of vacation because I love to be near the ocean. I will point out that the description says being close to water and that I specifically said I love to be near the ocean, neither of which say being IN the water. I get seasick in boats and also have a fear of swimming in open water so am in total alignment with what my Neptune placement description indicates here. I do feel I am altruistic, humane and spiritual as well. My broad spiritual vision includes being raised Catholic, going to Christian and non-denominational services with friends, learning about Buddhism, Law of Attraction and even Wicca.
Neptune is another planet that has an influence at a generational level since it moves every 10-12 years resulting in the description being generic for everyone born in that decade. Therefore it is said that aspects to this planet along with the House placement will provide further insight at an individual’s level, so I will touch on the aspects as well.
The only aspect I have is a Sextile between Neptune – Pluto that says the following about me:
She is perceptive and able to see layers to a situation. She is naturally drawn to learning what makes herself and others tick.
My perceptive ability to see different layers to a situation is what I think has made me successful in my career no matter which job, role, or organization I have been in. I have the ability to look at the overall situation and analyze it down to the most minute details. With my current efforts in analyzing my natal chart, I think the second sentence is only exemplified by my current actions of trying to learn myself better. I also am very curious to learn about others close to me in the same way and have introduced a few to their own natal charts and given my perspective of some of their aspects.
As indicated in my What Does Mars Really Have to do with Men? post, I will also go over another person’s chart, referred to as Kali, who is born on the same month and day as I was, but different year and location to offer a comparison of how two people with the same birth day, can be vastly different despite both being Scorpios. According to Kali’s natal/birth chart from Café Astrology her Neptune is in Pisces and this is the description the report provides:
May especially like to work alone, appreciating solitude. May crave connecting but often isolates herself.
The first of two aspects Kali has is a Square between Neptune – Lilith. The report says the following:
Love can dominate her life. She could lose her head over someone to whom there’s an intense attraction, which can become troublesome if she loses all idea of reality. If she is not loved in return, so what – she will love for the two of them. With time, if the bond loses its spark, she can have difficulty disentangling herself and she can suffer enormously. It’s best to look to a trusted outside source for guidance in vulnerable times.
The second aspect Kali has is a Square between Neptune – Midheaven, which may cause issues with the following:
She may lack assurance, self-confidence. She does not always choose the right path due to struggles with believing in hunches.
