NUMEROLOGY: House #16

A karmic debt number refers to specific negative aspects that happened in past lives that should be addressed by learning a lesson and overcoming the negative characteristics in the current life. There are four different karmic debt numbers – 13, 14, 16 and 19. These numbers can appear anywhere, such as one of the top 5 numerology aspects of a person’s profile or even the address of a home that they live in.

I have lived in two houses associated to karmic debt numbers (13 and 19) and know others who also live in a karmic debt numbered homes. I started this house numerology blog series with the karmic debt number 19 since this was the impetus of me getting into numerology and wanting to learn more about it. Now I will go into the karmic debt number 16, since I know people living in this house number.

Believed to be the most painful and difficult to overcome, 16 as a karmic debt number refers to a past life where one was overly egotistical and vain to the point of hurting and breaking the trust of others. This leaves them prone to being self-absorbed and can end up making self-destructive choices in this lifetime. Because these traits carried over to love in their past life, there were relationship issues including several failed relationships, which may have been due to illicit affairs or problems connecting and acting responsibly with others. This can manifest in the current lifetime with toxic relationship patterns, repeatedly having one’s heart broken or vice versa. Those with this karmic number in their numerology report may be described as the following: egocentric, indifferent, aloof, hard-headed, unreliable, withdrawn, emotions are intellectualized, uses their intellect to look down on others, tendency towards loneliness.

Karmic debt 16 is best described as the saying “out with the old and in with the new” and is also referred to as a cleansing. Think of it as a phoenix which must rise from ashes as a way of rebirth and transformation, meaning a person must go through a major change. In Tarot, the 16th card is the Tower which also has a similar meaning as the phoenix with regard to destruction of the old in order to rebuild something new. In this case it specifically is a change in their ego, identity, self which can involve deep suffering and pain before they emerge as a better version of themselves to achieve happiness. This karmic number lends to this death and rebirth cycle constantly throughout the current lifetime to become truly humble. However, to achieve humility, one should consider a spiritual journey of deep introspection and transform bad habits to become a trustworthy person who is in service of others. In relationships, they must be honest, committed and loyal. Through this they may clear their debt.

When it comes to a house, if the digits of the house address or unit number of an apartment totals to 16, the occupants of house may suffer from ego issues. This prevents the occupants from getting along with other people resulting in being aloof. This could create depression amongst the residents. This karmic debt number may also represent a misuse of love, showing up as relationships riddled with illicit or extramarital affairs. Therefore, houses with the number 16 aren’t always conducive to successful relationships, especially romantic, but it is worth noting that it may even affect friendships. Residents of houses with this number will need to put in extra effort to ensure a strong relationship with their partner to avoid any outside romantic temptations. If those, especially singles, living in the home are dedicated towards spiritual pursuits, then the issues of this karmic debt will not be as worrisome since they are working towards clearing their debt.

Despite knowing a few people who live in a home with this karmic debt number, I will only comment on one of them where I observed the residents experiencing all of the above issues. The people who live in that home are very aloof from one another, despite being family, to the point if a stranger was looking in, they would not think they were all family living together. One of the married couples living in the home, experienced issues with extramarital affairs as well. I can also comment, at one point, a friend was living in the house and while the friendship was not negatively impacted per say, the friends rarely spent any quality time together, which aligns with the homes energy of not being conducive for successful friendships.

I am curious of others who have this house number, if their experience of living in their home aligns with any of what is described for this karmic debt number.
