3/8:

3/7: I am thankful receiving positive self insight after doing a presentation at work about how far I’ve come along in my career. For over 15 years, I struggled with lack of self confidence on the job where doing presentations caused me extreme anxiety and filled me with fear. It didn’t matter if I was presenting to 2 people or 100+ on a topic I was completely knowledgeable of, the sheer act of having to speak live would make me break out in a cold sweat. I would type up my script and have to practice it multiple times making sure I had both a soft copy on my screen and printed version on my desk that I could read because I was paranoid something would happen with my computer during the meeting. The nervousness would often be heard in my shaky voice. This presentation only had about half the slides with a script, which I only partially used and didn’t even read word for word. I had no fear or anxiety and felt completely confident delivering information that I know I am an expert on. I have confidence in my work knowledge and experience with the ability to speak about it publicly without any reservations. This is huge for me!
