9/17: I am grateful I was not too late for my appt after my car wouldn’t start, having my bf drive me to it and spending some time during that appt to do some much needed meditation given my mental and emotional state.
9/16: I so appreciate staying in control of my emotions (for the most part) during work meetings today when I was on the brink of LOSING MY SHIT after finding out all the people who were impacted by the company lay offs.
9/15: I am thankful to take a long nap in the middle of the day since I have not been sleeping much for the past couple of weeks and a luxuriously long bath before bed.
9/14: I am grateful to attend the exclusive event where I got some freebies – some practical like water and snacks, to totally impractical like an exclusive limited edition figurine and a fidget toy and having a great dr. visit before heading home.
9/13: I so appreciate getting the big RFI response done a couple hours before the deadline, going to a meetup where I talked to a diverse set of people all with one similar interest that got me an exclusive invite to an event the next day; my dr. being willing to switch my appt time so that I could enjoy that exclusive event and being so busy that I didn’t event think of friday the 13th which is usually a very hard day for me.

5/1: I am thankful to get to bed early last night and have more sleep even if it was interrupted by waking up multiple times throughout the night, having a member of my team handle a 7am call without me so I didn’t have to get up at 6am and a team outdoor activity that allowed me to take a walk around my neighborhood and putting together a massive shelf unit successfully, even tho I injured my ankle in the process.
4/30: I so appreciate going back to my morning routine at home, not having a lot of mtgs so that I can spend most of my day catching up on emails from being OOO last week and Dungeness crab for dinner.
4/29: I am thankful for getting adjusted at my chiro appt and doing a costco run to stock up on veggies and other groceries and getting some more work done in the evening.
4/28: I am grateful to be back home sleeping in until 9am and taking a nap in the afternoon allowing my body to start catching up on sleep.
4/27: I so appreciate getting smoked salmon at the Fish Market to bring home eating piroshky piroshky (trying meatball for the first time which is now my favorite), leisurely time with my cousins to sit and chat before heading to brunch at Salty’s where we had their incredible calamari, seafood omelette and steelhead caesar salad with 2 desserts, a large chocolate cake and creme brulee for dessert; a walk to enjoy the Seattle skyline views, meeting my cousin’s black cat named Lolo who loved my pets and a safe flight home.
4/26: I am thankful for sleeping fairly well, free hotel breakfast a delicious early dinner, a cool “speakeasy” at the amazon spheres and reading my story at the festival in front of a live audience.
4/25: I am grateful to try a lavender oatmilk matcha from Starbucks that was tasty, a better than expected experience at the trade show, my colleague giving me a ride to the airport and arriving safely at my next destination, my cousins welcome gift, meeting new people at the evening event and my other cousin arriving safely and giving me a great shoulder massage.
4/24: I am thankful for safe travels for my business trip and bring only 10 mins late to my meeting with the state even though my flight was delayed an hour and that the meeting went well.
4/23: I am grateful to catch up with a lot of work and be home.
4/22: I so appreciate being able to enjoy a leisurely breakfast before checking out of the hotel, a quick and free shuttle ride to the airport, the line at customs moving quickly and arriving home safely.
4/21: I am thankful for all I learned during the last day of my course, Vietnamese for lunch, Thai for our graduation dinner with one of my favorites that I haven’t had in awhile-fish cake plus a really good fish curry with the perfect touch of heat, the long diverse conversations after class till almost midnight knowing that I have had such a special honor meeting several amazing women with their own journeys and life experiences and that we were all meant to cross paths to support and learn from each other.
4/20: I am grateful that I took a trip for myself to learn more about something I am interested in, amazing Portuguese food for lunch, having Japanese BBQ for the first time with my cousin for dinner, finding something similar to what I’ve been wanting to get for my cat for cheaper and getting some decent sleep.
4/19: I so appreciate that the feeling I had within the first hour of my course was one that confirmed investing in this course was absolutely worth it and having that reaffirmed throughout the day, even more so when spending several hours after class talking to other students and getting guidance on a health issue I’m facing and an important message of allowing good to happen to me and my life without having to feel I deserve it, which is a next level way of thinking for me plus delicious lunch from my teacher of sushi and Chinese food.
4/18: I am thankful I only had two big meetings which were related to the major transformation initiatives I am working on, with 2 other meetings being rescheduled/cancelled and enjoying poutine for dinner.
4/17: I am grateful even though I only got about 3 hours of sleep, that I was easily able to make it through the day working, healthy breakfast, snacks and lunch with my cousin introducing me to a delicious way to prepare salmon that we enjoyed for dinner.
4/16: I so appreciate going to the airport early so I could work up to my flight boarding so I could retract my half day PTO; new items on the menu at the airport lounge to enjoy, that the flight time to Toronto is shorter than I expected, the actual flight didn’t feel long, my 2nd cousin whom I only met last year and her boyfriend who picked me up from the airport who is letting me stay at her house and picking up wings for us to eat, her cat being immediately comfortable with me to come in and out of my room all night.
4/15: I am thankful for a productive leadership development plan meeting with my executive coach and manager where my boss offered an additional suggestion of how to openly respond to a request, especially with ELT, when a contract is restrictive and to work my way to feeling comfortable going up even to CEO level realizing add being acknowledged from my manager how much I had already developed and improved.
4/14: I am grateful to prepare for my upcoming back to back trips.
4/13: I so appreciate the dermabrasion service, which was super affordable, that I booked for myself was more than I expected with a mask and a good massage of my neck, shoulders and even a little bit on my scalp so that I could change the facial I booked after to a microdermabrasion for my neck and decolletage; getting my favorite suite booked for July 4th weekend for when my cousins come visit.
4/12: I am thankful to get a much needed manicure and get more information on facial treatments I’ve never had, booking two appts for May to try them out
4/11: I am grateful for being directed to an easy to learn online whiteboard platform so that I can collaboratively create a flow chart of some of my team’s processes for an upcoming meeting.
4/10: I so appreciate getting through the workday, feeling like I already worked a full week with all the mtgs, longer hours trying to get so much done!
4/9: I am thankful for the enjoyment my cat and I both have when he plays with a fidget spinner.
4/8: I am grateful that my meeting with the VP went well (also notably over time because there were so many questions of wanting to understand more) and learning that there is another organization in Germany that has the same problems my team is facing.
4/7: I so appreciate getting a huge load of laundry done and put away, cleaning around the house, checking out a bookstore where a lot of writers hang out in downtown and trying a new Japanese restaurant.
4/6: I am thankful to dream of my brother (I was in his messy room looking at hair clippers that had a ton of hair all over waiting til he got home at around 3am at which point he told me that out of all the people who read a story at the event tonight, which was standing room only, he thought the audience was drawn in the most and reacted more positively to my story compared to others, making me wake up feeling very confident & happy and returning to my healthy morning routine of drinking 3 cups of water with lemon and vinegar and salad for breakfast.
4/5: I am grateful to spend the afternoon preparing for a meeting I am excited for that is scheduled for Monday and ending my day leisurely reading
4/4: I so appreciate being able to support someone who had a devastating health diagnosis.
4/3: I am thankful for my chiro appt and the warm weather which my cat and I enjoyed during his walk.
4/2: I am grateful to have a VP at work respond to my email while he is on PTO and schedule a mtg for the first day he is back to further understand the problems my team is having overall and racking up ton of points over the years to book an out of the country trip that would have been way too expensive to pay out of pocket!
4/1: I so appreciate hearing that the time I spent studying Feng Shui over the weekend paid off because I passed the beginner/intermediate test and that my ‘problem’ now is figuring out how to make a trip to the advanced FS course become reality!
3/31: I am thankful to catch a mistake I made on my Feng Shui test, get some reading in, group FT with family where we planned our trip for next month, making a healthy dinner and putting in a big Feng Shui remedy that I’ve been wanting to do for a few months.
3/30: I am grateful to take two naps during the day between studying Feng Shui.
3/29: I so appreciate not having any meetings scheduled for work and getting a chiro adjustment.
3/28: I am thankful to make it through the workday that started with an early morning meeting
3/27: I am grateful to make it through a busy workday.
3/26: I so appreciate my chiro appt where I got some of my muscle issues worked on and my best friend getting a scratcher, that is similar to one I had been looking for and having it used pretty quickly.
3/25: I am thankful for a very light meeting day at work, listening to my body and self to reschedule an afternoon appt and making time to do something I love after work, read a physical book I got over the weekend, which I finished in a couple hours since it was short, that was very uplifting and raised my energy.
3/24: I am grateful to listen to a morning keynote by a doctor, who has an interesting perspective on women’s health that I would like to look into further, meeting a nurse practitioner in my afternoon session, some great deals on books and decks, freebies, meeting up with an old friend for dinner, a safe drive back home.
3/23: I so appreciate investing in myself this weekend, hearing what I needed to hear, finding some books on my list to read for only $5.
3/22: I am thankful for having time to speak to a team member who is going through a rough time, meeting with a shoe designer on semi custom Italian shoes and safe travels into a neighboring state before midnight.
3/21: I am grateful for getting a re-exam at the Chiro and making about 50% progress since the cat accident.
3/20: I so appreciate having the energy to work a 12 hour day after working 11.5 hours the day before to get more caught up with work so I can reduce some stress and my bf’s car finished at the the shop and picking it up.
3/19: I am thankful my best friend with her husband stopped by to meet my cat before flying back home who had a quick visit to the vet afterwards and not seeming to have any side effects from his vaccine.
3/18: I am grateful for my Chiro appointment getting some muscle work done though it spent really alleviate as much muscle issues as I had hoped.
3/17: I so appreciate seeing my best friend real quick, finally trying a donut place I’ve wanted to try for years with fresh strawberry donut and safe travels back home.
3/16: I am thankful to celebrate my cousins birthday with an amazing Vietnamese meal and finding a Korean blanket in a design I like at a good price since I went to many many places without finding what I wanted.
3/15: I am grateful to have the day off work with lots of fun plans for the day including going to the beach and enjoying the salt air and sound of the ocean.
3/14: I so appreciate getting a few hours of work done in the morning with the rest of the day off work, safe travels across the state border and finishing an audio book along the way, finally trying Panamanian empanadas from a restaurant that was sold out the past couple times I was trying to have it plus oxtail and red snapper, introducing Grayson to Bella, even though he hissed at her and Grayson adapting quickly to his home away from home.
3/13: I am thankful getting muscle work along with my chiro adjustment.
3/12: I am grateful to give myself the time I needed by saying no to something so I could work on my priorities.
3/11: I so appreciate getting a chiro adjustment after not being able to the week before due to business travel for a work conference
3/10: I am thankful to try a local hot chicken place that I’ve wondered was any good – it wasn’t, so that my curiosity is satisfied and I know to keep looking.
3/9: I am grateful for my home and my family, getting a lot done at home during the day (unpacking, cleaning, cooking, laundry) while also getting a quick nap in.
3/8: I so appreciate waking up early, having cucumber salad for breakfast, starting work at 5am so that I could spend focused quiet time typing up notes from my conference, not having a lot of meetings so that I could get caught up on work even if that meant working a 13 hour day and reading a whole book before bed.
3/7: I am thankful for an early arrival on my flight home and finding out that the Italian restaurant that replaced my favorite closed down banh mi place has excellent food.
3/6: I am grateful for delicious grits for breakfast, making it through a very long packed conference day and having a couple really enjoyable and productive meetings.
3/5: I so appreciate getting not only one, but two free cowboy hats, especially a dark brown color and enjoying a night out on the town with my boss and colleague.
3/4: I am thankful for a direct flight, safe travels and trying the original Nashville hot chicken, which was very hot and good!
3/3: I am grateful to finalize all the tax information and documents for submission to my accountant this morning.
3/2: I so appreciate spending most of the day on quiet focused time to do online research in the morning, gathering and preparing all my tax documentation in the afternoon and running a few errands in the evening after trying Cafe Zupas for a healthy dinner.
3/1: I am thankful for another chiro adjustment that helped my mid and upper back.
2/29: I am grateful for chiro adjustment since my left shoulder was needing it and finally getting to try The Codfather – great fish and chips.
2/28: I so appreciate not having a ton of meetings at work and talking to someone to identify a mentor to guide me as a leader.
2/27: I am thankful for being seen immediately at my morning doctor’s appt and seeing a friend.
2/26: I am grateful my cousins both made it home safely and for my chiro being located close by so it is easy and quick to get to and from my appts.
2/25: I so appreciate being able to make eggs, chorizo and homemade hashbrowns (with the help of my bf) for breakfast for my family in town, delicious hainanese chicken for lunch and trying a place that has been on the list for dinner for burgers and fries.
2/24: I am thankful what we wanted for breakfast was not sold out this time, picking up another cousin at the airport, all of us taking naps in the afternoon and enjoying another KBBQ for dinner.
2/23: I am grateful to get a second medical opinion through a benefit provided by my company, ultrasound and tens therapy at my chiro that makes my tight muscles feel better, my cousin arriving in Vegas safely, and an enjoyable AYCE KBBQ dinner.
2/22: I so appreciate the relief I feel when I get adjusted from a chiropractor, especially after being in a car accident and feeling the effects soon after it happened, but not being able to get any treatment since I needed to get xrays first.
2/21: I am thankful for some good reminders I received during a one on one meeting with my boss’ boss. I am very sad he was impacted by the LR at my work and will miss his great leadership.
2/20: I am grateful to take time off work to deal with the car accident, a friend stopping by quickly to say hello since she is in town before going to my chiro appt for an exam, and then to imaging to get xrays done. salmon and pea sprouts for lunch and hot pot with various types of fish balls and veggies for dinner.
2/19: I appreciate my company giving me a free day off work today so I could sleep in, my bf making pancakes for breakfast, getting my overflowing laundry done, running errands around town and that the car accident I was in was minor compared to previous ones I’ve had in the past.
2/18: I so appreciate fining Reese’s peanut butter banana at Costco and getting a couple needed household items that we forgot to get on our recent last trip
2/17: I am thankful to look at potential custom shoe closet options, stopping by Asian grocery where I decided to try several types of fish balls and grab a couple bags of one of my favorite veggies that is not at my closer Asian market – pea sprouts, a fun afternoon doing an escape room, delicious Korean soup for dinner – chicken ginseng and trying Paris baguette for the first time.
2/16: I am grateful for the end of the work week knowing I have a 3 day weekend ahead of me.
2/15: I so appreciate making it through a very tough morning at work and Costco shopping after work.
2/14: I am thankful for having so many loving people in my circle.
2/13: I am grateful for date night trying a new thai restaurant and getting some fancy chocolate!
2/12: I so appreciate running up all the hills during my 5 mile route for the first time even though I ran slower than normal.
2/11: I am thankful for delicious beef over rice from an old school hawaiian spot and safe travels back home.
2/10: I am grateful to have a relaxing morning and spending the afternoon returning items from the previous weekend of shopping and getting a few new things with my cousin ending with an incredible uni dinner.
2/9: I so appreciate the end of a tough work week, being fully prepared for Lunar New Year ahead of time, and an early flight arrival.
2/8: I am thankful for my boyfriend making chicken curry, new keyed locks installed in all my bedroom doors, getting the house prepped for Chinese New Year, cashing out $3.33 on a slot machine, putting in only $1 which was enough to get me a chocolate donut and croissant and some BOGO deals at Sprouts.
2/7: I am grateful my house is clean, that the person tending to me at my appointment was so meticulous and a delicious late dinner at Mang Felix Kitchen.
2/6: I so appreciate being able to rearrange some furniture, getting a lot of things laying around put away properly and getting new indoor security cameras set up.
2/5: I am thankful to be fully rested since I had to start my workweek with a 6am meeting.
2/4: I am grateful to get some much needed sleep, since I only slept about 8 hours total the past two nights by getting 9.5 hours overnight and 2.5 hours during the day and still going to bed early.
2/3: I so appreciate the chance to spend the day with my cousin finding a great place for bun bo hue and Japanese soufflé pancakes, shopping at Uniqlo and Black House White Market, getting a bag full of Porto’s and Gus’ fried chicken, a safe flight back home
2/2: I am thankful to spend the day at Disney so my best friend can enjoy the Lunar New Year decorations, parade and special menu which had the best Vietnamese iced coffee with taro and chocolate and an amazing, though very sticky, char sui flavored turkey leg.
2/1: I am grateful for a safe flight to Los Angeles and to see my best friend and her family again.
1/31: I so appreciate remembering my dream of taking a wrong turn down a walkway trying to go to a bathroom and exiting a venue which caused me to miss the event since security would not let me back in with my purse back at my seat that I was so upset over that I woke up with tears in my eyes; my boyfriend making boiled (since I can’t do fried anymore) tofu for breakfast this morning and a small rice bowl of fried rice for an early lunch for me while I was busy with back to back work mtgs; getting all work except a PPT review completed by the end of the day; first mtg with a health related company to further understand how I may benefit from their services; catching up with my best friend and cousins through messages throughout the day.
1/30: I am thankful to remember my dream even though it was about someone passing away and regretting that I didn’t see them on a major event because I was trying to save money by not travelling; making it thru another tough and stressful workday with 7 mtgs; completing a 5 mile run after work where I finally ran the entire length of one of three long hills that I have not been able to run up completely to this point and still keeping a sub-15 min mile average pace.
1/29: I am grateful to make it through my first leader coaching call, completing a load of laundry, getting vacuuming done, scheduling a couple of appts for the next 2 weeks, moving some furniture around per feng shui energy and cooking wings for dinner that I ate with 2 bowls of salad.
1/28: I so appreciate getting out of the house to attend a home expo. Even though it was small and disappointing, got a couple appts scheduled to get some estimates. Finding what I was looking for at Ikea, eating Hainan chicken and roast duck wonton noodle soup, getting a few to do’s completed around the house including a couple loads of laundry, a quick nap and meal prepping one of my tried and true healthy meals for lunch this week.
1/27: I am thankful to start my day with a healing, guidance from my teacher on meditation, running 5 miles, a healthy light lunch, a quick 15 min nap, a lot of organizing, several loads of laundry and some cleaning around the house, an impromptu dinner date at a thai restaurant that I haven’t been to yet catching up and getting support from a friend.
1/26: I am grateful to make it through quarter end work week that was extremely challenging, finally getting my parents car insurance figured out and meeting with an advisor who will give me information on my issue and provide guidance after a panel review.
1/25: I so appreciate that all my meetings were only half an hour each and getting info to my parents insurance company getting to the final step of initiating their car insurance.
1/24: I am thankful to receive a belated Christmas gift that included much needed twin mattress bed sheets and an awesome air freshener for my car that is a picture of my cat and that my healthy Mexican meatloaf turned out more delicious than before which I attribute to a different type of salsa and extra hot sauce.
1/23: I am grateful to have a great planning meeting with my leadership team and getting a couple performance reviews completed.
1/22: I so appreciate being able to fall asleep faster than normal and doing my meditation this morning, getting initial information on my issue
1/21: I am thankful my cat’s bloodwork came back normal, getting my 5 mile run done in the rain even though I was a lot slower than normal since not feeling great, delicious tuna sandwich for lunch, resting most of the afternoon, and a healthy dinner of bok choy stir fried in garlic, mushroom and onion sauteed, leftover kimchee tofu soup and a corn cob.
1/20: I am grateful to get a lot done during the day with vet appt, errands around town and a big security to do at home
1/19: I so appreciate getting through the workday after starting with a frustrating first work meeting.
1/18: I am thankful a meeting was pushed out, healthy chicken salad for lunch, doing several to do tasks at home during a social team meeting, getting completely caught up with all my emails at work, able to meditate and listen to an audiobook after work, and cook a chicken, mushroom noodle stir fry using the last of the wonton noodle leftovers.
1/17: I am grateful to make it through my morning appointment, a workday packed with meetings, and cooking a delicious chicken breast, brussels sprouts and shiitake mushroom stir fry for dinner and avocado shake for dessert.
1/16: I so appreciate making it through the work day with 7 scheduled meetings back to back, reorganizing all the gifted Christmas string lights into a reel system I bought to empty out one box, moving most of the Christmas decor into the garage, finally getting my imaging appointment scheduled for tomorrow and my bf bringing home a delicious chicken and mushroom bun from din tai fung.
1/15: I am thankful for a good book club meeting to start my day; when going out to eat that the wonton soup was bland which meant low sodium broth, which is exactly what I wanted and need for my health goals and since I’ve modified my eating, that I also have plenty of leftovers to eat later; taking a nap; making it through a 5 mile run and a healthy dinner of wild salmon and Brussels sprouts.
1/14: I am grateful for a full day to focus on editing previous pieces I’ve written; writing a new flash fiction piece and submitting 4 pieces to SEAF a day ahead of the deadline, which happened to have auspicious feng shui energies for important paperwork; going through and organizing a gifted box of Christmas decor; getting parts of my new work desk delivered; and steak, spinach and corn for dinner at home.
1/13: I so appreciate completing my run and not feeling so crazy hard as last time and ordering some things from Amazon.
1/12: I am thankful for sleeping through the night except when my cat woke me up briefly, a great time checking out CES, walking all day and a delicious healthy dinner of sashimi salad and edamame.
1/11: I am grateful to get lots of healthy groceries at Costco and making a salad topped with chicken breast for dinner.
1/10: I so appreciate making it through the most busy workday of the week with nonstop mtgs, the arrival of an anticipated package of BB gear, and a surprise swag gift from a colleague that will be very useful.
1/9: I am thankful for making it through the workday with several meetings despite a fitful night of sleep, my cousins confirming they are going to do the rock n roll with me, an informative neighborhood watch meeting and a delicious bundt cake.
1/8: I am grateful for a last minute invite to a surprise bday dinner celebration to try an Italian restaurant where I thoroughly enjoyed Dungeness crab linguini and an amazing pistachio strawberry cake.
1/7: I so appreciate being able to make breakfast, being okay with skipping lunch, making it through a 5 mile run when feeling tired, finishing an audio book, starting a new audio book, starting to write another flash story, doing the past year review of the qi planner, trying out a new local pho spot and them giving me a fresh coffee to go and selling niners playoff tix to finally have a profit off the season tickets.
1/6: I am thankful for maple spam and mushroom omelette, finishing two written pieces, including my first attempt at flash fiction, and fried tofu and broccoli dinner.
1/5: I am grateful to have a smooth blood draw in the morning, an slow day at work, getting my Rx at Costco and to finish reading my first physical book of 2024.
1/4: I so appreciate getting a last minute appt first thing in the morning, an easy workday on the first day back from holiday shutdown since many took time off through the end of this week, 2 leftover wings and cucumber salad for lunch and oxtail for dinner.
1/3: I am thankful my company gave me this free day off to extend the holiday shutdown, inspiration after a nap to write a poem to complete my submission to the local library’s writing contest and chicken wing leftovers for dinner.
1/2: I am grateful for sleeping in, a delicious ham and shitake mushroom omelet for breakfast, working on a few blog posts for most of the day, a super healthy cucumber salad for lunch, running 5 miles in the afternoon and the best chicken wings in town for dinner.
1/1: I so appreciate meeting new neighbors, finding out one of my next door neighbors is Filipina, my boyfriend feeding me so I could spend the entire day and night getting back to my passion of writing.
