SF, Mtn View – fancy candy & acai bowl

Where I ate: 1) Southern Pacific Brewing 2) Sugarfina 4) Maholo Bowl
What I saw: A guy with a boom box on his shoulder blasting an Adam Levine song chasing a half deflated mylar balloon down the street (yes, he did catch it eventually)
What I bought: 2 unique necklaces

In my last post, I mentioned I try to book personal travel either at the front end or back (or both!) of the business trip so that I would only pay for one leg of flight. That’s exactly what I did after Minnesota. Several months ago, I planned a weekend camping trip to Big Sur 4/29 weekend. Since I’m originally from the Bay Area, it’s difficult trying to meet up with so many family and friends. This time I really wanted to meet with my brother’s friends. I had the opportunity to do happy hour at Southern Pacific Brewing with them.

Cinnamon Churros with Bacon & Syrup from Southern Pacific Brewing – YUM! This place sure has a lot of bacon on their menu. Their Crispy Brussel Sprouts with Bacon & Fruit Glaze made eating a typically not so appetizing vegetable very easy – I could have easily finished it alone!

Sugarfina is a fancy smancy candy store. Walking in, I was immediately drawn to their bento box where you can choose from walls of acrylic boxes full of a wide variety of candy.

It’s all about the packaging!

I had never even heard of Acai Bowls and apparently it’s a hot new thing. Since I had to drop a package off at UPS, my friend told me to grab an Acai bowl next door at Mahalo Bowl. My sister and I split a large with kale that didn’t taste like greens at all. I’d definitely go back again.

Since I was with San Francisco Fashion & Style Guru, Christina of Closet Luxe, I asked her to take me shopping and what fun that was! I had been wanting to buy a big statement necklace and these are what I found!
