Another Super Bowl recipe was recently requested, which is very simple to make. It annoys me when I come across a recipe on a blog and I have to scroll a lot before getting to the actual recipe, so here it is without further ado:
Ingredients
2 cans bean dip
2 cans guacamole (may also be made from scratch)
1 bundle of green onions, chopped
2 tomatoes, chopped (drained and patted dry with paper towels)
8 oz. pkg. Cheddar cheese
1 jar sliced jalapenos
1 c. sour cream + 1 pkg. taco mix (may be made plain without taco mix)
1 extra lg. bag tortilla chips
Directions
- Add sour cream and taco mix together and mix well.
- Cut green onions and tomatoes. Be sure to dry tomatoes well, skipping this step will result in a watery unappetizing dip.
- In 9×13 glass Pyrex, begin layering ingredients accordingly:
- 1st Layer – Bean dip
- 2nd Layer – Guacamole
- 3rd Layer – Sour cream
- 4th Layer – Green onions
- 5th Layer – Tomatoes
- 6th Layer – Cheddar cheese
- 7th Layer – Sliced Jalapenos
Using a Pyrex dish with a cover makes for easy transport for potluck as well!

Won’t the jalapeno peppers make it hot for some people?
