Kitchen GGadget – Dreamfarm Fledge

I am always on the lookout for kitchen ggadgets that will make cooking, and more importantly cleaning, simpler and more pleasurable. One annoyance, that I’ve finally found the solution to, is when I am slicing, dicing, or chopping something juicy the juices drip onto the counter or worse yet, the floor when I’m trying to put the ingredients in the pot or bring the chopping board to the sink.

Dreamfarm created the Fledge which is a silicone flip edge cutting board to prevent food and juices from falling off the board while in use or transport. There are rubber feet on both sides to prevent slippage on the counter regardless of which side you are cutting on. Dreamfarm has another version of the Fledge which weighs exactly 1lb if you measure your food regularly. Since I have a digital food scale that zeros out regardless of which container is set on it, I opted for the other version which weighs 1.08lbs in green.

This small 10 x 7 x 1 inch cutting board is perfectly suited for cutting things like tomatoes or pieces of fruit.  My life is easier and simpler now that I no longer have to spend time cleaning up the counter or floor from dipped juice with this ggadget and I enjoy cooking even more!  If you know of any cool kitchen ggadgets you think I’d love, please do share.
