Park City, UT 2017

When I was last there: February 4, 2017
Why I went: Business Trip
Where I stayed: Marriott Salt Lake Downtown at City Creek (Salt Lake City is ~30 minutes away)
What I didn’t see: A whole lot of snow

Here are a few places I’d recommend if you are ever visiting Park City:

Shabu Shabu House: If you are a hot pot snob, you will balk at their too simplistic broth, which is a mix-your-own soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, diced onion and sliced green onion. The saving grace was their Las Vegas sourced Dave’s Gourmet Insanity (hot) Sauce. Three small drops carefully applied by the server completely transformed my hot pot and made the difference between thinking about walking out (soy sauce and sesame oil with garlic and onion do not make a good broth!) and enjoying my meal.

I do give credit to their seafood platter (the option to add on Kobe beef was impressive) which you will see is a great selection as pictured below:

Tanger Outlets If you are a bargain hunter like I am, make a stop to do some shopping. Since I first went there back in 2011, I have scored high end name brand jeans for as cheap as $25 at DownEast Outfitters! (Yep, as a paper hoarder going through all my paper currently to shred them, I came across my receipt from 2011 – and yes it is going into the shredder.)  Both the Joe’s and Paige Jeans I’ve bought here are the softest most comfortable pairs I own.

Versante Hearth + Bar:  When I was in Park City before my last trip for work, my colleagues and I really enjoyed eating here.  All the dishes we ordered were so flavorful and the ingredients tasted so fresh that we drove half an hour from Salt Lake City two nights in a row to dine here.

Fire Blistered Shishito Peppers
Spicy Pasta Rigatoni with Shrimp

Mushroom Fettuccini

If you ever visit any of these places, let me know what you think! And if you have any recommendations of places I should visit next time, please let me know because I typically travel here once a year for work!
