CES 2020 Ggadget: Temporary Tattoo Device

I love tattoos, but also don’t want to cover my entire body with them. I use temporary tattoos often to express my personality or mood for the day and love that there is finally a gadget to print customized tattoos onto the skin instead of the traditional stick, soak and peel off paper backing type.

The Prinker S device gives you fun, personalized, skin safe temporary tattoos that is super easy and quick to apply. The app has a library of pre-designed tattoos, but there is also the option of creating a unique tattoo. Select the tattoo through the app, spray the skin with the provided primer, glide the device over the skin area to be tattooed and follow with another spray of the skin primer. Be rest assured that the FDA VCPR compliant ink is dermatologically tested and made from certified cosmetic ingredients. The tattoo is waterproof for about one day, but easily removed with soap. It is rub resistant for one day as well.

This device costs $269 and comes with black ink. If you want color ink, which I think most people would want (see the color tattoo I got below), be prepared to drop another $149 (on sale now from $189). Refill black ink costs $99.

Is this something that you would consider buying for the fun of it?  Or do you think the cost is too high for something that is so temporary?
