CES2020: Food Robot

Someone asked if it would be too Trekkie to ask for a food replicator. I actually don’t think we are far off from that because there were several food Ggadgets that I came across at CES this year. AutoKitch is a fully automated food preparation robot that will cook a healthy nutritious inexpensive hot meal within minutes with 3 simple steps.

  1. Choose a Recipe and indicate the number of servings and spice level
  2. Load Ingredients (uncut)
  3. Press Cook

This appliance dices, sautes, seasons and serves the meal just the way you want it. Per a Youtube video demonstrating the unit, there are 200+ dishes it makes, including the following:

  • Pork String Beans
  • Curry Chicken
  • Mongolian Beef
  • Kungpao Chicken
  • Fetuccini Alfredo
  • Shrimp Rigatoni
  • Sloppy Joe

The first viable version is now in the final stages of assembly and will be progressing into Alpha and Beta testing within the next couple of months.  Is this something you are hoping to come into the market sooner rather than later because you would rather do something else with your time than cook?
