Pluto Sign

Per my What Does Mars Really Have to do with Men? blog post, Pluto is very powerful and known for causing transformation through death and rebirth and growth of thinking, beliefs and structures and forces transparency to the real driver of what matters. It is also related to sex. Per Cafe Astrology, where you can go to get your own birth chart, it says Pluto represents transformations, mutations, and elimination.

My Pluto is in Libra. I already touched on how my perspective of how my thinking and beliefs have changed and grown by a transformation through death and rebirth in my Uranus Sign post.

According to my natal/birth chart from Café Astrology this is the description the report provides:
May look for new ways to relate to others.

This description applies to all those born in the 12-15 year timeframe since that is how long it takes Pluto to move to another sign. I do not have any aspects with the planet Pluto to further dive into so cannot necessarily get more insights that way either. I will note that this generic description is similar to my Uranus in Scorpio from my natal chart report that said: May want to explore new ways to connect with others. Because it does not tell me much, I decided to do an online search and came across a website called astrozella.com that has a more robust description for Pluto in Libra. There is a lot in the link provided, I’ll only pull out a few snippets I feel are relevant to me:

Libra in Pluto natives can also be enraged where injustice is unaddressed. They can be very extreme when it comes to upholding fairness…They do not tolerate any form of unfairness regardless of the situation.

In my Mars Sign post, I wondered if there was another placement in my chart that lends to me being a complete stickler with following rules and it seems Pluto in Libra is it. It drives me crazy when people bend the rules or outright dismiss them and don’t get reprimanded for it because I see it as unfair to those who do abide by them. I realize that I am very rigid in this area because even if it is a very minor infraction that really does not have a major consequence, if I had my way, I would punish the offender to the maximum allowable, simply to set an example and ensure fairness to those who stayed true to the letter of the law. One area that I am especially sensitive to and find my anger can get scarily out of control is when I hear of animal abuse situations. It takes all my willpower and desire to not land myself in jail to hold back from acting on some of my extreme thoughts of what should happen to the people who torture and kill animals for their sheer amusement.

Love means a lot to Plutonian Libras. They enjoy having partners who cherish and understand them. They like spending time with their spouses after a long day at work. Pluto in Libra people are tolerant and seek to maintain tranquility in their relationships. They are passionate and consistent lovers. They give their all before backing out.

I would agree with the desire of being cherished and truly understood by my partner, which I felt was lacking from all but one of my ex-boyfriends and of course my current boyfriend. Spending time with my significant other after a long or hard day is the ideal way for me to unwind and de-stress. I generally hate conflict and do find myself trying to always maintain the peace in my relationship, which usually ended up with me compromising or giving in to the wants or needs of my partner. I think my many other Scorpio placements in my chart also lends to the fact that I am a passionate lover. I would imagine the Libra placement is what lends to the consistent aspect of that description, but am not sure if I could whole-heartedly agree with that as I do feel there are times where I am not, in fact, consistent. As for giving their all before backing out, I agree and find that it has always been to my detriment because I stay far much longer than I should. With my Moon Sign being in Taurus, I know that only make this that much more so the case.

Plutonian Libra women desire healthy relationships but want to be independent outside their relationships. Pluto in Libra women pursue peace in every situation but are usually indecisive. That sometimes makes them contradict their supposed principles. They are not confident about their judgments and seek approval from others before making decisions. Libra in Pluto women may be tagged as weak due to their insecure traits.

When I was younger I would have classified my past relationships to be unhealthy and co-dependent, but I have also transformed to the point of being completely the opposite, not even wanting a committed relationship so that I had the sense of being completely independent from my partner. I know I am often very indecisive and will admit to contradicting myself and my own principles from time to time. For example, there were times when I was in a non-committed relationship that I would wish I had the benefits of a committed relationship while saying I was okay not having those committed relationship characteristics. I couldn’t decide if I wanted the freedom or the benefits of a committed relationship more, sometimes wanting both at the same time, which was not realistic or feasible. Hopefully, with my more recent transformation and new relationship, I have finally found a better balance with having a healthy relationship while still maintaining a good level of independence outside of my relationship. With my general lack of self-confidence, it is no surprise that I question my own judgements and decisions, something that I often feel the need to discuss with others before I come to a more final conclusion of them. I do consider myself weak due to my insecurity so would not expect otherwise of others views of me for it.

Pluto in Libra people can be good leaders and team members. Their ability to analyze meticulously makes them stand out among others. They break down problems into the smallest units and solve them through and through. They are also creative, open-minded, and result-driven.

I always get so annoyed and even defensive when I am told that I am a good leader because it is something that I have always strongly leaned away from. Due to my low self-confidence, I hate being put in a position where I have to lead others, determine the direction and strategy of something or need to take charge. I am most comfortable and happy when I am told what to do, how to do it and by when. As for being a good team member, I resonate with that and do not fight it like I do about being a leader. I consider myself very anal and detail oriented so meticulous analysis comes very naturally to me. Because of that skillset, along with being creative, open-minded and results-driven, I know I am able to breakdown any problem and come to a viable solution.

As indicated in my What Does Mars Really Have to do with Men? post, I will also go over another person’s chart, referred to as Kali, who is born on the same month and day as I was, but different year and location to offer a comparison of how two people with the same birth day, can be vastly different despite both being Scorpios. According to Kali’s natal/birth chart from Café Astrology her Pluto is in Capricorn and this is the description the report provides:
Brings success. May fear loss of control, job, status, respect, and these are driving factors, perhaps obsessions.

Here are some of the things that Astrozella.com says about Pluto in Capricorn to give a better idea of this particular placement:

They will do anything to follow through with their plans and achieve their dreams. They are usually effective and efficient and can be trusted to take on tasks without much supervision. Pluto in Capricorn people do not like anything that imposes on their free will. They prefer working alone and do not like to be restricted. Once they choose a path, they strive to go through with it and will not allow any distraction.

Pluto Capricorn women are usually feminists. They do not believe that women should be inferior to their male counterparts. They are strong-willed, focused, and always ready to make the most of opportunities. They put their all into any task, whether in the spotlight or backstage.

A Pluto in Capricorn woman is usually reserved. She remains quiet while she analyzes, devises plans, and takes the world by surprise. You may never find out what lies in a Pluto Capricorn woman until the results show. She can be very secretive and difficult to read.

Pluto in Capricorn women see a relationship as an arrangement that will deprive them of freedom. That makes them look away from advances and focus more on their ambitions.

Their extreme focus can be destructive. Plutonian Capricorns should learn to recognize unrealistic goals and be more flexible. They should also open their hearts more and love freely while pursuing their dreams. There is more to life than ambitions and heights. Pluto in Capricorn should learn to be flexible.
